Perinatal Mental Health and Wellness

The Registered Nurse (RN) Perinatal Mental Health Navigator role is a pilot program and quality initiative on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. The navigator is a registered nurse who is connecting with families one-on-one to offer support, resources, and referrals for anyone struggling with their mental health in pregnancy up to the end of the first year postpartum. Support is typically offered over the phone for ease of access. Your feedback will directly impact this program by providing us with a better understanding of the needs of the community we serve.
