Background Information

Through a Northern zone quality review we have identified the need for digital signage that outlines that the public could report equity and EDIRA (equity, diversity, inclusion, racism, accessibility) related harms/concerns through patient relations. We developed digital signage and would like to have PFAs review for content clarity, inclusivity and accessibility. The action we would like to encourage is that the public understand that discrimination can occur for various reasons: race, Sex, age, socioeconomic, disability; etc. and to report it. We welcome any and all feedback.

We have been asked to update the digital screens in the emergency departments across the province to be reflective of our EDIRA and equity work as it relates to patient safety. Attached are the updated slides that we have developed to educate the public on this work and how to report it.
